Celebrate New Year's Eve Downtown! Red Stick Revelry celebration kicks-off at 9 p.m. at The Crest, Baton Rouge's newest downtown stage in Galvez Plaza and rock out with Phat Hat. Enjoy one of Baton Rouge's favorite dance bands playing hits from the 60s, 70s and 80s music that is guaranteed to make you groove and move! And at midnight, plan to ring in the 2014 New Year with the drop of a custom designed, LED-lighted Red Stick on top of the Town Square Beacon at Midnight!

Official Red Stick Revelry Cocktail Contest!
Friday, December 27th, 7 p.m.
Belle of Baton Rouge Atrium

Baton Rouge's favorite mixologists will compete for a panel of judges to create the winning Official 2013 Red Stick Revelry Coctail for the celebration. With Emcee Jay Ducote, host of the Bite and Booze Radio Show and 2013 Taste Award Nominee. Live and Free! Rockin' Dopsie at 8 p.m.

Bring the Kids and Celebrate Early
New Year's Eve
North Boulevard Town Square Lawn, 11 a.m. – Noon
 * CREATE: Hands-on activities for kids with local artists and the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge.
 * IMAGINE: Storyteller Robby Wilson presents "The Legend of the Red Stick" for all ages. Robby Wilson, Assistant Director of the Louisiana Book Festival will perform the "Legend of the Red Stick", a story for all ages that tells how the City of Baton Rouge got its name.
 * DANCE: Learn a new Red Stick Revelry line dance to the original "Red Stick Revelry" song choreographed by Steve Hood of Geaux Body Fitness Studio and get started on your New Year's resolution to be more active!
 * SING: Join Mayor Holden and others in Town Square at noon to sing Auld Lang Syne for the "Red Stick Rising." The Red Stick is raised into place 60 feet in the air for the midnight drop.

Children's activities provided by The Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge.
