The YMCA of the Capital Area has been proud to be a part of a resurging downtown Baton Rouge for more than 10 years.

Located at 521 Third Street, the facility is part of the LaSalle Parking Garage operated by the state. The 13,293 square foot facility includes state of the art equipment such as Cybex strength, free weights, elliptical and treadmill machines by Star Trac and Precor, recumbent bikes, stairsteppers, and an aerobic and stadium presentation spin studio.They also feature the Activtrax program to help meet your personal wellness goals. Personal Trainers are also available.

For parents, there is a kid zone that has both morning and evening hours. For adults, the branch conducts an Annual 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament in the Fall (September 24th of this year).

Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 5:30 a.m. till 8 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. till 1 p.m. Parking is free with your LaSalle ticket validated for up to 2 ½ hours.

Each branch of the YMCA of the Capital Area is unique and reflects the community in which it serves. Your city-wide membership to the Charles W. Lamar, Jr. YMCA provides you use of all eight locations.

Corporate Memberships are available for businesses with 10 or more employees participating.

State of Louisiana employees have a special membership plan with the YMCA of the Capital Area.

A current pay stub or letter from your human resource department is required for both of these plans. No Contracts To Sign!
