Alicia Myers, a student currently completing a Master’s in Education with a Concentration in Literacy at Southeastern Louisiana University, has created a public relations blog about Downtown Baton Rouge as part of a Communications elective course.

After living and teaching English as a second language in South Korea, and nine years of teaching English at Denham Springs High School, Alicia is presently working as a Graduate Assistant in the Department of Teaching and Learning at Southeastern Louisiana University.

Called the 'Red Stick Reader,' the focus of the blog is the current downtown experience. The blog deals with topics such as special events and gourmet food trucks.
